I’ve been doing so for over a year and have personally experienced some of the positive effects listed above. My favorite time of day to use cacao is when I hit my afternoon slump. Instead of reaching for a jitter inducing caffeinated beverage, I have some cacao and my energy/focus noticeably improves.
Below are six ways to add cacao to your daily routine so you can experience this as well!
- Use cacao in smoothies – the bitterness of cacao is a perfect compliment to the sweet flavor of a fruit smoothie. To make a cacao smoothie, blend 8oz of vanilla almond milk, ½ avocado, ¼ cup of blueberries and 1 tablespoon of cacao powder with ice to create an antioxidant rich meal.
